Proposing to turn off reactions on Christianity!

+3
−0

Reacting to answers is a pretty good feature I've to admit but the current reactions aren't a good fit here.

Apparently, each community is free to do its own customizations [1], therefore, I'm proposing to turn off reactions here.

The current reactions which are "Worked for me", "Outdated" and "Dangerous" has no relation to the site specifically their current descriptions indicate this.

You have tried the proposed solution and it has been effective.

The proposed solution is outdated, deprecated or no longer good practice.

The proposed solution is dangerous or harmful.

People don't post solutions, but they post answers, and really answers can't get out of date and definitely can't be dangerous. [2]

So I'm proposing to turn reactions off. We might make use of it rather than turning them off by changing the current ones to something that fits the site, but this hasn't had much traffic recently, we might turn it off until the community decides how to use reactions best. [3]

  1. Moderators can turn it off too besides admins, so that's helpful. ↩︎

  2. I feel like those descriptions fit a site like Software Development. ↩︎

  3. By either, turning them off or editing the current ones. ↩︎

This makes sense to me, and seeing no objections, I've gone ahead and turned them off. These -- or different ones! -- can be enabled if the community wants.
